What is a secret phrase?

Your “secret phrase,” is a phrase of your choosing that is combined with your password for the creation of your encryption key as well as to authenticate you with our server. 

The idea behind a “secret phrase” is to create a string of text that’s long enough to introduce a significant amount of entropy, but easy enough for you to remember – like the first line of your favorite song. This is a unique, user-friendly feature of Techferno compared to leading password managers. The secret phrase is case insensitive and doesn't require any special characters; however, it must be between 30 and 60 characters calculated without spaces.
